Incipit Finis

Conjugate your verbs, she says.

It's funny until you actually have to do it. In Greek.

If this were last year, today would have been my first day of school. Not having jury duty this year has made me unexpectedly appreciative of actually being able to attend the first week and a half of classes. This semester I'm taking Musics (sic) of the 20th century, Intermediate Greek, Reading the Hebrew Bible (in translation, but Biblical Hebrew is being offered during Winter Study) and Reading German for Beginners. All are going well so far, but of course I've got the usual extracurricular lineup to distract me- chairing Williams Catholic, singing in the Concert and Chamber Choirs, more singing with the Elizabethans, Williams for Life, bell-ringing, organ lessons...

As if I needed to be reminded that there's not much sand left in the Williams hourglass, Saturday's Convocation served to rub it in. I always thought becoming a senior was something that happened to other people...

Diane was caught conjugating a verb this morning. She said, "Sean has spoken. Speak. Spock. Spoken."
